UNO, DOS Y TRES… READY TO COUNT

The days are passing by and new topics and vocabulary are coming for our Spanish class. And now is time for counting, an incredible experience that open a big door of communication in our lessons because now everybody is ready to answer simple questions like: How old are you?, How many people are in the classroom? and also now we have a great tool to work in the calendar.

Numbers in our Spanish class are more than memorizing about getting the concept and to be ready to count and recognize symbols. And fortunately for the class the children are ready with the use of some of the math Montessori material which makes possible bring it to our classes and use it to apply and reinforce all what we are learning.

Finally don’t forget that this topic is going be worked and is going to grow thru the year with different materials and activities, so get ready to keep counting and having fun with your child and the Spanish class.

And for the new ones there is a sticky song that can helps with your counting

Physed

Phys ed Class at MCHA it is an amazing world full of fun and interesting activities, that helps to improve loco motor skills and at the same time learn about the right way to grow  healthy.

This new school year started with balance activities and exercises full of motion to get ready for the winter season and the indoor activities.

Because the summer time it is almost done and an early fall bring us a little bit of snow flakes (10 cm) but there were not enough excuses to stop doing gym activities.

And don't forget if you are looking for some programs or activities the City of Calgary offer a bunch of classes for fall and winter, check this link for more info:

HOLA , welcome to the spanish class.

My name is Mrs. Romero and this year I'm going to keep working, having fun and growing with your children.
After many years of experience with preschoolers I know how important is for them to have a rich and productive environment that challenge their minds and encourage them to learn and grow in all senses.  That's why this year the Spanish program seeks to continue working on it, giving daily a new experience to talk and many, many Spanish vocabulary to learn, through different materials, books, songs and always supported by the Montessori philosophy and all the great ideas of the little ones.
So welcome back to the school and let's work together to make this year unforgettable.
See you soon,
