BIENVENIDOS-

HOLA, my name is Diana Romero I’m the Spanish specialist teacher at M.C.H.A and I’m really happy to have you and your child staring with me this new school year.

Personally I’m really excited, this is my seventh year at the school and I can say that I have grown a lot after each year of work and preparation; for me Montessori is a beautiful philosophy that as is known helps a lot the development of the language and that’s why I never get tired to study it and to added it as a support of my program.

So let me asked you something:
You and your child are really curios about learning new things?
Do you like learning about new cultures around the world?
Do you both enjoy all about Spanish?

Well I’m sure it was a YES for all the questions that mean that you are ready to join me in this incredible trip where your child (and you) will be learning through songs, readings and much more.

Thanks for being with me, lets start.
New school year, new fun activities

2019-2020 Physed class is going to be a stunning program full of fun and full of action  that will help us to be ready for any season and condition during this year, because any time is a good  moment to be healthy and enjoy a physical activity.

All this is going to be done through a class with an amazing environment that will improve the  skills  of the children by practicing indoor sports such tennis, golf or soccer and by refining their abilities with coordinative games; But is not just movement, we also are going to learn about food and healthy tips to grow up strong and smart.

For those that doesn’t know me I’m Mr. Gonzalez, I’ve been with the school for seven years putting all my knowledge of Physical Education together with the Montessori philosophy  making a strong an very fun program for MCHA.

So keep following the blog to keep in touch with me and your child classes and to get  more info about fitness and activities for your family.

My name is Mademoiselle Vargas and I am the new French Specialist at Montessori Children’s House Academy.
I was born in Colombia but moved to Canada at a very young age. I lived in Quebec for five years where I first learned French. This is where my passion for the language started! When my family moved to Calgary, I continued my education through the French immersion program all through grade 12 and graduated with a bilingual diploma.
Once I graduated I knew that French was my passion and that I wanted to pursue my French studies at a higher level. Last April I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Spanish. I am very excited to start teaching at MCHA!
During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, playing recreational volleyball and spending time outside with my dog. I also enjoy cooking and baking with my niece and nephew.
Hello Everyone!
I hope you had a great summer. I am very excited to be your child’s music teacher at Montessori Children’s house Academy. I am from Mexico and I am a singer/songwriter/guitar player and piano player. Moreover, writing songs, and perform in festivals or venues are my passions. I can affirm that music is my life’s style and I really could not imagine a life without teaching music or performing.
There are many benefits of studying music:
• It stimulates our brain and improves our well-being and cognitive development.
• Music provides to our body the tranquility that will allow us to face any obstacle. Moreover, it reinforces our memory, concentration and helps to solve math problems.
• The child’s body expression is more stimulated.
• By introducing auditory discrimination enriches the language and vocabulary.
• Music stimulates the right side of our brain that improves our creativity.
• Rhythm contributes the coordination, equilibrium, muscle development and stimulate the senses.
• Establishing routines in music provides the bases for a future discipline.
